Tour Description

As a historical introduction, Trekking Mount Tarn revives the expedition of Charles Darwin in 1834 along with his team, who also named this mount.

Activities:

This trekking begins when the transport picks you up in the resident place around 06:00 am, we’ll head to 70 km south of the city of Punta Arenas, bordering the Magellan Strait until we arrive at Punta Arbol, the starting point of our hike. In normal conditions, we estimate approximately 4 hours to the top (834 mm). During the climb, we will appreciate the flora and fauna of this place, also be in contact with native species of birds and we will be witnesses of how the landscape changes throughout we reach the top of the mount.

During the ascent is numerous stops to rest, take photographs and appreciate the landscape. Once in the top, we can appreciate the unique beauty of the end of the continent, with a panoramic to the Magellan Strait, Dawson Island, Tierra del Fuego, Faro San Isidro, Sarmiento Mount, among others. After this, the descent takes around 3 hours and a half, we will enjoy a well-deserved snack on the shore of the Magellan Strait, ideal moment to continue marveling at this magical place. The return to the city of Punta Arenas is programmed at 17:00 hrs, with arriving around 18:00 hrs.
