Tour Description
The tour starts in the morning in Puerto Natales. After picking all the passengers up at their accommodations, our first destination will be the Milodon Cave Natural Monument, where this giant sloth (Milodon) lived. This place is located 24 km north of Puerto Natales. On the way we will pass by places such as Silla del Diablo, Cerro Benitez and Laguna Sofía. Upon arrival, we will visit the interpretive and informative center, then we will go to the Main cave and have a guided walk through its´ interior. Foxes, condors, guanacos and ñandús will be part of the landscape during this trip.
Next we will continue towards Torres del Paine National Park. First stop will be the town of Cerro Castillo and before arriving at the Entrance of Laguna Amarga, we will also stop at the Lago Sarmiento Viewpoint – the first spot where you can see and appreciate the Paine Massif and the snowy mountain Almirante Nieto. Together with the intense blue surface of the lake it makes an extraordinary and beautiful panoramic view. The next stop, a few minutes away, will be the Laguna Amarga Viewpoint. On clear days it is possible to observe the reflection of the towers of Paine in these waters that contain a high level of salts. It is common to see flamingos is this Lagoon.
Once inside Torres del Paine National Park, we will reach the Nordenskjöld Viewpoint that offers a breathtaking view of the Lake and the Cuernos del Paine, where the strong wind reigns and the condors plan in their total majesty. Then, we will go to the Salto Grande, a 10 meters high waterfall, where the wind is the main protagonist. Lago Pehoé Viewpoint will be the next stop, privileged scenery and chosen by many as the best view of the day. At the end of the tour we will reach the Gray Lake. We will walk until we get to the shore of the lake. It is a great place to contemplate the pieces of ice that approach the shore of the beach, the Paine massif and the horns will also be seen from that place. Then we will go back to Puerto Natales.
We only mention the most important and recognized stops, there will be additional ones.
The places indicated in the tour description could be modified depending on the weather conditions.
